The Tour de France 2009 starts in Monaco on the 4th July. We build up to the start of the greatest cycle race in the world with a look at each team.

Points of Interest:
Last year the team employed Yaroslav Popovych to help Cadel Evans in the hilly stuff, but it didn´t work out and Pop has moved to Astana for this season.
2009 Tour:
Cadel Evans arguably didn´t lose last year´s tour, moreover it was lost for him by a dreadful team performance and a complete lack of support from his team. The team has been bolstered for the 2009 Tour by the signing of Charlie Wegelius, but in comparison to the Astana team, Silence Lotto does not have the firepower required to get Evans to the finish line in Paris wearing yellow. If he does get there, it will be down to savvy tactics, good time trialing, and clever hill climbing. Just don´t step on his dog.
