The Tour de France 2009 starts in Monaco on the 4th July. We build up to the start of the greatest cycle race in the world with a look at each team.

Points of Interest: Katusha is the Russian´s equivalent of the Kazakh Astana team - a media-marketing machine designed to raise awareness of the country. The team shirts feature a Russian skyline print.
2009 Tour:
All rounder Vladimir Karpets is the team´s mostly likely source of an overall win, but it will take good teamwork and luck for the Russian to overhaul the likes of Contador and Evans.
Depsite this, the team has several good sprinters, and if the lead out men can do their job, there may be a stage win in there somewhere for the Russian marketing exercise.
A good chance for a stage win lies with Australian Robbie McEwan.
