The Tour de France 2009 starts in Monaco on the 4th July. We build up to the start of the greatest cycle race in the world with a look at each team.

Garmin Slipstream all ride with Garmin 705 bike computers, which have the route profile for each stage programmed in so each rider knows where they are and how much further there is to go!
2009 Tour:
Another big hitter is Garmin Slipstream. The team makes no bones about the fact that it is a specialist in the team time trial, although they were beaten into 2nd place by the Columbia Highroad team in the opening stage of the Giro d´Italia this year.
Riders of note include Christian Vande Velde, Brits David Millar and Bradley Wiggins, and Irishman Dan Martin. Wiggins and Millar should do well in the time trials - and their climbing has improved this season also, although neither will be contenders overall. Dan Martin will show his strength in the mountains as he tries to support Vande Velde.
